"End of the World Threat, May 21st, 2011 has Passed....Now, What are You Going to Do?!"

As a Pastor, I find it Very Necessary to Remind All of those who Should Know Better that the Word of God saids in Matthew 24:32-36, that No Man will know the Date or the Hour of The Lord's Coming... Not even Jesus Himself.  As I think about All of the Rhetoric and Joking about the Prediction on how The End of the World was suppose to happen at 6:00p.m. Today, Saturday, May 21st, 2011, I am Praying that Pastors Everywhere Who Know the truth, and Who Really Gives a Care about the Salvation of Souls, Will make it a Point to ask this question to their Congregation On Tomorrow, Sunday, May 22nd, 2011: ....."Knowing that Only God knows the Day and Time of Jesus coming to Receive his Saints, and knowing that Only He Knows the End.....During All of this Threat and Scientific Predictions of the Lord's  Coming, and the Threat of the World as We know it coming to an end.....Did it Cause You to Check Yourself out? Did it cause You to Search Yourself, Pray and to Make Sure that You are Ready, not to just Meet Jesus, but to be able to Spend Eternity with him, not being Refused  or sent Straight to Hell?  And if you did not think about that....Then You Better Start..... JUST "US"..."JUSTICE FOR ALL?"

Here We are, Just at The Door Steps of May, 2012.  And What have We Learned?  Today is The 20th, Anniversary of The Beating of Rodney King, a Black Man who was Almost Beaten to Death for a Traffic Stop by The Los Angles Police.  Whether he was Intoxicated or Not, The Punishment Did Not Match The So Called Crime!! Rodney King, has Now Experienced Flashbacks of that night, because of the Shooting Death of 17 Year Old Trayvon Martin.  A Young Black Teen  not Beatened by The Police in Florida, but Shot to death by George Zimmerman.  Even in Death Trayvon Martin has Faced  Injustice, and Racial Profiling.  George Zimmerman Shot Trayvon because he fit the Profile of those who have Supposedly Caused Recent Crimes in That Gated  Community. Mr.  Zimmerman, a Self Proclaimed Neighborhood Watch Captain...( a White Hispanic)..was On his Way to The Store when He Noticed Trayvon.......Man!...You Should have Just Went to The Store!!!!  For it was The Store, a 711 that Trayvon was Coming from on his way home.  He had just Purchased a Can of Arizona Ice tea and Some Skittles for his Younger Brother.. Their Plan of crime for The Evening... was Just to Enjoy Watching the NBA All star Game on TV that Night.  Trayvon's Mother Sabrina Fulton and Father Tracy are in So Much Pain, and They Want Justice!!!

Even though after Almost Two Months, George Zimmerman was Finally Arrested, it Seems like Justice is Not Moving as They Hoped!!  This Crime is Not The First Profiling Crime of a Black Man or Minority, but It has Awakened a Fight in All of God's People, Regardless of Race!! Trayvon Could Have Been Any body's Child!!

So I Say this to You...Besides Having a Relationship with an Almighty God, and Having Him On Our Side...
Out here in this World...It's JUST..."US".. And We have got to Come Together!! Praise God for The People Young and Old and of Every Race who has Come Together and Marched, Signed Petitions and have and are Still Fighting for Justice! But While You are Holding that Sign with One Hand, Get a Voters Registration Card, Signed by You in Another!  Yes, We have to Vote!! And The Haters and Racist of the GOP Party and the like, want to make it harder for You to Vote, Especially the Young and Old... But God is Going to Step in and Let them Fall into their Own Traps!...So While God is Working...If they Want Two Pieces of Identification or Whatever...Get Them Now!!! If A Senior Can't Read, and Need help to Vote..Help Them!! Even though You Know that They have Closed Down Voting Locations just So You Can't Get There...Get a Car Pool Together Now...And Get There!!!  Be a Step ahead of The Enemy,While God Takes Care of Business.  Because Again,...Except for God....It's Just Us!!!!!

  After I Became Aware of the Death of Trayvon Martin.  And The Story Behind it, I Started Wearing My Hoodie and I Have been Wearing a Bag of Skittles on My Coat. There are Stores in the Suburb of Detroit of Which I Frequent.   I am a Pastor and a Community Leader.  And I have been Working in The Community Since the Age of Eleven.  But The First Day that I Put my Hoodie on, with The Hood Over My Head, The Store Clerk Got  Scared and Started to Treat Me Different until they Realized who I Was.   And Then They Were Ashamed.  But I Got to see what My Young Son's and Young Men of Color in Our Churches Go Through!  I Still Continue to Wear the Bag of Skittles, though Empty  Because it has Created a Conversation from All Races Where ever I Go.  You See, The Conversation and The Fight Must Go On!!!

And I can Wear a Hoodie, and Protest with Some Skittles All that I Want.. Because I Vote!!! And have been Voting Since the Age of 18. and I am now in my 50's!  Even when I amToo Ill  to get to the Polls..I Make Sure that My Vote Counts, So I have Earned the Right to Protest!!!  And Let Me Say this...We Do Not Need Folk like the New Black Panthers Out Here Acting like We are Living in The Old West.  You Need to Get Together with Leaders Such as Rev. Al Sharpton ...(Inspite of What You Have heard)... Who Has  Fought Against Black on Black Crime or Crime in The Hood.  Use Your Energy and Your $10.000.00 On That!!!!  We have got to Respect Ourselves and Respect Each Other....First!!!  And I Will Never Justify a George Zimmerman Shooting Down a Young Unarmed Teenager, but if We are to be Honest....Young Trayvon Took the Bullet for All of those Young Men..( Some in Hoodies of Color,)..Who "Do" Break into  Houses in Our Community and  "Has" Done The Crime!  And You Need to Repent Before a Mighty God, and Apologize to Sabrina Fulton, and Others!!!

     So as We Remember the Beating of Rodney King 20 Years Ago..Let's Remember to Pray, Vote and to Move Forward!!!  Let's Keep Our Eyes Open for The Truth Prevailing in The Trayvon Martin Case and Others like it!!  Let's Not Forget about the Other case of a Black Woman Also in Florida who Shot in Self Defense at her Husband of whom She was Leaving and who has been Allegedly Abusing her. The Stand Your Ground Law Will Not Stand Up for this Young Black Mother, and She is Facing Over 20 Years in Jail. And is Away from her Very Young Baby that She had Just Recently Gave Birth To!!  So, Let's Hold Her and Her Family up in Prayer, and Fight for Her, and Others Like Her!!! For Again...it's JUST .."US" and Through God ,We  Must Come Together as One to Make Sure that Trayvon Martin's Case Proceeds Correctly, Because There Must be...Must be..."Justice For All!!!!!"

JUST SAY IT!!!

As We Reflect  over The End of The First Term of President Barack Obama.  We Can Say that a Lot was Accomplished But....With Very Little Help!!...But God!!!  But in 2012, We have Not Moved Forward but Have Moved Back..... To The Old Plantation.  A Wise Pastor of Mines Once Said to an Elite Black Congregation....."Don't Be Too Comfortable About What You Have, What Degrees You've Earned or What Your Title is...Because in a Blink of an Eye You Can be Right Back into Slavery.  You See, (He Said)...We Only Have What "They" Allowed Us to Have"......And Yes , Pastor, That Day is Now! And as for Me....I have Had About Enough!  This President Who Just Happens to Be Black has been Persecuted By The Religious Right, and even by Some Blacks in The Left for Not Being Black Enough!  But Today...Let's Talk about The Religious Right.   I Can't Seem to Go Anywhere in the Past Couple of years, and Especially this Past Year Without hearing...."We Want Our Country Back"...."He is Not an American, So He is Not The President"..":So  He Showed His Birth Certificate, But Now We Need To See His Transcripts From His Grade School"...."Hussein..Hussein"..."He is a Muslim" ..."Obama is a Socialist..."Obama is a Communist'
And All I Have to Say is......"Just Say It"!!!!!..Just Cut Out All of the Crap and The Excuses.. You Don't Like "President" Obama Because He is Black...African American ,Colored, Negro The "N" Word..You Know What You Really Mean..And So Do We!!!!! And  to Those of You who Want to Take Your Country Back.....Back From Who??  A Black Man?  We Didn't hear You Say that When President Bush Put us in An Unlawful War, Killing Our Sons and Daughters Unnecessarily!  You Didn't Request to Get The Country Back ( Though Impeached)..When Bill Clinton was President!!..No, It's Not About Experience or The Lack There of...It's All About The Color of A Man's Skin!!

  So To All of  You Religious Right Christians...To All of You, Who Sing "Guide Me Oh Thou Great Jehovah"..On Sunday Mornings With Hate in Your Heart...To Those of you Who Think that You  are So Holy, and that it's Okay to Hate People of Color (Including The Latino Community).. ,Because to You..We are Not  Human.....Watch Out!!  Because God..Almighty God...Jesus Christ is Not Pleased!!  God Said to Love Your Neighbor as You Love Yourself......Ooops..I Forgot..Some of You Don't Even Love Yourself..That's Why You Can't Love Nobody Else..So, I'll Pray for You! ...But for the Rest of You Who Do Love Yourself...It's Time for a Reality Check....."Hi Neighbor"....Yes, That's Right, Me With My Cream Colored Skin is Your Neighbor Whether You Agree with Me or Not.. 'President" Obama is Your Neighbor Whether You Like Him or Not..The Middle Class and The Poor "Is" Your Neighbor Whether You Respect Them or Not!  Therefore Prepare Yourself When You have to Face Our Saviour Jesus Christ..Prepare Yourself When He Ask You Why You Have Not loved Your Neighbor!!!!!  Because that Day is Coming! God is Speaking!  And Speaking of the Poor...To All of Those Ignorant, Heartless Religious Right Republicans and Some Democrats Who have Done Nothing to Help The Poor..To All of You Holier than Thou Folks, Who Deny that You are Racist Because You Have.... A "Black Friend."..( Like They are a Pet or Something)..To All of You Who have Voted Over and Over Again to Hurt People of Color, People Who Don't Look Like You, Women and Those Who Don't Think Like You.....God has Another Message for You...Read Proverbs: 21:13.  Because It is About to Come to Past......And it Reads....."Those That Turn or Stop Their Ears to The Cry of the Poor Will One Day Cry Themselves and Shall Not Be heard"...Don't Think it Won't Happen? Don't Think that it's Possible Because You Have All of Your 401 K's..Blood Money and  Oil Money All Stocked Up?!!!  Just Ask the people White and Black Who are On Food Stamps who Never thought that it Would Happen to Them! Just Ask The Homeless Family, Who Did the Right thing, and Thought that Anyone Who Was Homeless Did it To Themselves and Should Not be Helped!!  ( And None of it Was Because of President Obama..Or Any One Man!)...So Stop The Lying!!!!  No..The Banks and All of You Will Have Your Day before God, Right Here on This Earth. And No Republican Congress, Rich Friend or Even a President Obama Will Be Able to Help You..Because You See.....You Reap What You Sow! And This Country is Reaping Now, from Ugly, Spiritual ,Hateful Seeds.  And Until We Repent as a Nation.... We Can "Not" Go Forward.  So, America...Republicans and The Like......Cut The Crap!!
Be Honest With Yourself about "President" Barack Obama!  Look Yourself in the Mirror, and See Just who is Putting Out All of the Hate! Stop Hiding Under The Name of "The Tea Party", "The Birthers", "Conservatism" and "Holiness"!! Because When You face God....He Will  Be Honest With You.. And Then He Will Say it To You With All of The "True" Righteousness in His Hands...'Don't Play With Me"...Confess Your Faults.....And Right  Here and Right Now......You Need to...... "Just..... What Do You Mean.....Mr. Gingrich....Poor Children Have No Work Ethic?!

Greetings Everyone,

  As We Come Closer to The Time of Celebration Of The Life and Birth of Jesus Christ...This is Also a Time to Reflect on Our Lives. But, in Our Time of Reflection and Celebrating, We had to Hear the Ignorance of Former Republican House Speaker, Now Presidential Candidate Newt Gingrich!  And it's   ashame because  he is not Alone.  A Black Man by the Name of Herman Cain Probably come from that Same Paradigm...Black/Poor Children Have No Work Ethic?????  Poor Children Probably have More Work Ethic that The Rest of the Youth in This Country!  I have Worked in the Community Since I was a Child.  And The Black/Poor Children that I have Worked with and Lived in the Neighborhood with...Have No Problem Trying to Make a Buck....Legally!!!

    Here in The Detroit Area, I Cannot Tell You How many Times when Snow Hits The Ground..That a Seven or Eight year Old, Kid Would be Knocking at My Door, Very Early in The Morning, with a Shovel in His Hands, Ready to Work!  Or The Young Little Middle-Poor Class Boys who would be at The Door with an Old Lawn Mower Ready to Cut Your Grass in the Blazing Sun.  And Baby, They Do a Great Job Too!!!! So, Don't Tell me Mr. Gingrich about Something that You Know Nothing About!!!  And in My Community Leadership Experience by  the Way, I have also come upon Mothers and Parents who Can't get Their Upper Middle Class Children to even Pick up a Piece of Paper more Less Mop a Floor, Shovel The Snow or Cut the Grass.  How Dare You use a Ignorant Racial Broad Brush to Describe these Young Children!  Mr. Scrooge Gingrich, You Better Be Careful Who You are Trying to Appease. Because You Reap What You Sow!  And Your Words...( Which are Many)...Will Come back to Haunt You!  And One Day if God Allows..... Those Poor, Un Work Ethic Children will One Day Own a Business or Corporation that You are going to Need Help From!  Merry "Christ:-Mas Mr. Gingrich.  I Pray that You get To Know..Him..Jesus Christ that is..Not a Religion!! Just What Do Mean?......I Bet That You Have No Idea!!!!!

God is So Awesome...Welcome Baby Candace!

You know when you think that you have experienced God's Greatest in Your life, and then Suddenly something happens to let you know that you have not seen Anything yet?   On Tuesday, March 15th, 2011 @ 11:50a.m. Baby Candace was born.  She was not due until May of 2011. But God had his own plans. Moma's Health ( My Daughter) caused the need for her to be taken Early.  This is My First Grandbaby. And My daughter and her husband's First Child....And it's nothing like it! Baby Candace only weighs over Two pounds and will be in the Hospital a while. But Baby Candace is a Worshipper.  From the beginnng, we called her a Anointed Child of God! Covered with the Blood of Jesus!!  And not only will We have a Testimony but, Candace Herself will have a Testimony as well. So as you go through your day.  Remember that even though things look dark, and hopeless,   that there is a God who is Real, and cannot be contained in a Box.  God is Infinite and He is Solverent.  And he does not Depend on The US Mail, UPS, Fedex, or a 9-5 Schedule to do what He needs to do.  So if you have been Praying for a Miracle, And Man saids that it can't happened.  Rebuke it, Praise God, Continually and Prepare yourself to Receive it!  If you are tired of being depressed when you come from the mail box, because there is No evidence  of anything coming to you but bills, and More bills, although you have Sowed and Sowed.  And even though tears may be running down your face.  Just Praise Him and Praise Him some more. Because So what if nothing came in the mail.  So what if the mail does not run on Sunday.  So what if the bank closes at 6:00p.m.  And So what if the doctor said that there is Nothing else that he can do, If you are a Child of God whoTruly Serves Him, and who Sows into His Word, .....What do those Things Really have to do with You?!!!  God is not not Bound!! And what the doctor can't do, God Definitely Can!!! So,Expect God to do The Uncommon When He Blesses You and Answer Your Prayers.  And While I Praise God for My First Grandbaby, Baby Candace and Continue to Pray for Her Continued Healing and her Mom... why don't you Wipe Your Tears, Put the devil and his spirit of discouragement under your Feet.  And Keep Praising, and Keep Expecting.  Because this God is  Fathful that Promised....And He is So...Awesome!  Blessings, PastorD

What Is It Going To Take?!!

Praise The Lord, America!

  How was Your Weekend?  I Pray that it was a Blessed One.  And if so, Thank God for it.  But there are some people in Tuscon, Arizona Who cannot say that today.  A Precious 9 year old Child, who had Great Aspirations for Her Future, cannot say that or anything else.  When are we going to learn?  Yes, the suspect in that Awful shooting on Saturday-1-8-2011, might of had some mental issues.  But that is not always the case. Sometimes and especially lately these type of acts are from Pure Hate, Racism and Sin..  Oh Yes, I said The "S" Word.  You see We All are to be Accountable for our Own Actions. Not just folks like Sarah Palin , Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. For what We Say, How We Act, and What We teach in Our Own Households is Always going to affect Somebody Else.....We Need to  Grow Up, and cut this Hate Out!!  And the sad thing about it is, a majority of folks White, Black or whatever...don't even know why they hate some folks.  Listen, Ignorance and Bad information is Dangerous.  This Sunday, January 16th, 2011 @ 3:00p.m. Our Church will be hosting The City of Dearborn's Fourth Annual Dr.Martin Luther King Ecumenical Worship Service. Now, those of you who know anything about The City of Dearborn, Michigan know that it had to take Many , Many years before The City of Dearborn to even acknowledge the Great Man..Dr. Martin Luther King. And to be the First Black Church to Host it, since the beginning of these services in 2007, is Historical. But there is still much More Healing that needs to be done in that Community and in Detroit.  But you see, one cannot Heal unless they are aware that they are Sick. And We as a Society have a Serious illness and We Need a Saviour to Heal us.  So Yes, Folks  like Sarah Palin need to stop the Rhetoric and they need to stop creating their own facts which are putting unnecessary fear into folks.  But We too, Need to Pray, and Seek God's Face. And we need to Search Ourselves making sure that We are not the Man in the Mirror that's at fault!!  So while we Pray for the Miracle Working Power of Jesus Christ to bring Congresswoman Gifford and others through.  Let's take a minute and ask God to help us.  For what is it going to take?! You see Saturday it was Arizona, several years ago it was Colarado , then Virginia Tech, a Military Base, and an IRS Building. And if we do not come together, look out for each other and Pray...next  time it could be on Your Street.  So America, while we are so busy putting our noses down on other countries, check your ownself out. For as long as we have people living in the streets, unequal
Education for our youth.  And long as All Americans do not have   Good Affordable Health Care, We cannot say Anything about Anybody!!! So as we celebrate the Life of Dr.Martin Luther King,  Let's Come together and  Wake up.   You see, America, we need to stop saying "God Bless America", when we know we aren't right.  For what we need to do is to acknowledge that God is Real.    And in that acknowledgement, we All should Clean up Our Hearts and Clean up Our Houses, even Our Church Houses need to get Cleaned up.  And once we have have done that, then we will be able to say with a Clean Heart..."God Bless America" And as we Repent, and Love One another, We as One Nation and One People can also say...America..... "We Need to Start Blessing God!!!   And please, don't wait until the Next Tragedy or the Next Wake up Call.  But Do it Now, While We still have the Chance.  For I am going to ask you the question one more time........What Is It Going to Take?!!!-Blessings,PastorD

Happy 30th, Birthday Chariece!

Happy/Blessed New Years to You All!!  Today is My Baby Girl's 30th Birthday.  And this Birthday like My own Birthday causes you to Reflect on some things. My daughter is a Blessed Young Woman, who
has been there for me All of Her life. She stayed at home while she was working on her Two Degrees( From The Top Michigan Universities)...just to help me pay the bills.  And even though she was the one that everyone ran to, to get counseling since Elementary School, I didn't realize until recently that she too was dealing with Hurts and scars as a child.  Scars that she had to deal with to Adulthood. And that broke My Heart!  Still She has let God take her through the Healing Process. And through that Process She has Blessed so many by continuing to Counsel and Listen to others.  She is a Powerful Preacher, and Teacher.  Even as an adult, she has gone through trials like many of us, and have Lost Relationships with Friends that she thought would be her Friends  for life.  She definitely knows the reality that Jesus is a Friend who will stick with you closer than a Brother or a Sister!! But Still God is bringing her through.  She is a Powerful Preacher and Teacher. And is the Wife of a Powerful Anointed Pastor of God, who has been a Great Friend.  And now, God is bringing her to a New Exciting Level.  And May God get Glorified in it All!!   And I am so Proud of her! So, if you have a Child that you never got to tell how much they mean to you....  Do it Today! And I don't have a Facebook page.  But I invite any of my readers to comment on this blog, and Reflect on how special Your Child or Loved One has been in your life. Come on, let's hear about it!!  And Please, as Our Children grow up, Please pay attention to signs of pain.  Listen to them. And Remember that this is Your Child. And Protecting that Child, comes before any Family Name or Reputation!!  So "Have a Happy/Blessed 30th Birthday Chariece!!  Your Moma Loves You So Very Much-Blessings to All-PastorD
